🧠 Traumatic brain injury affects millions globally each year, yet its impact is often invisible and misunderstood.
March is Brain Injury Awareness Month. It is about raising awareness and advocating for better understanding, care, and long-term support for those living with brain injury.
TBI can affect cognition, behavior, senses, mental health, and physical ability. Some signs can appear soon after the traumatic event, while others can happen long after. As some symptoms are subtle or delayed, early and proper diagnosis, as well as ongoing support are critical.
This month, Mindsigns Health™ is launching a new series on simple but meaningful ways we can raise awareness and show our support.
Over the next four Sundays, we will explore how to:
Start a conversation about brain health.
Share and amplify lived experiences
Listen with empathy
Supporting organizations and initiatives
We believe that brain health is the foundation for the entirety of care. We stand with the TBI community in advancing awareness this month.
