Mental Health Month

May is Mental Health Month. Actually every month should be Mental Health Month but I won’t linger on the obvious! This got me thinking of why we are doing what we are doing in the first place.

A

I’ll start with a simple thought: It's hard to treat what you can't objectively see and monitor.

A large portion of the population lacks access to care, further exacerbated by a loss of provider availability, as we become increasingly aware that physical and mental health cause and effect are one.

That’s why the future of mental health care can no longer rely on subjective tools or the status quo. We are entering a new era of digital health, where adaptive technologies and objective behavioral insights can help recognize patterns earlier and support more proactive care.

At Mindsigns Health™, we are working with patients and clinicians to help build that future. We are developing more objective tools, better and safer monitoring of relevant digital biomarkers, at scale, to support early intervention and symptoms evolution monitoring so fewer people are left questioning their struggle.

There are too many individuals that suffer in silence. They compare themselves to everyone around them, wondering why functioning feels so much harder for them. Mental health symptoms can show up quietly in motivation, cognition, energy, and the ability to function consistently, long before they become visible crises.

We’re not at the finish line yet. Mental Health Month is a reminder that better understanding leads to better care, and we’re only at the beginning of what’s possible.
